4 Days Uganda Wildlife Tour

Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Kampala – Kibale Forest National Park

Our tour guide/driver will pick you up after your early morning breakfast at your hotel or place of residence in Kampala and take you on a journey to Kibale Forest National Park, the home of chimpanzees. You will make a stopover in Fort Portal for lunch at Gardens Restaurant, thereafter drive to Kibale. You will arrive at the lodge in afternoon and thereafter go on an afternoon crater walk of Nyinambuga before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After your early morning breakfast, you will go to take part in tracking chimpanzees in the jungles of Kibale Forest National Park, reputable of having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. The half day search for chimpanzees and other primates including phoestes, Red-Colobus, Blues, Red-tailed and grey cheeked Mangabeys swinging through the dense forest and birds, butterflies and many small insects is a fulfilling adventure. The guide will provide detailed explanations on not only primates, but also on all the forest’s fauna and flora, ensuring that your walk is informative, enjoyable and excellent for viewing bird life and primates in close quarters. After lunch, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an evening game drive where you will enjoy numerous animal sightings.

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park Tour

After your early morning breakfast, you will go on a morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile to encounter elephants, buffaloes, water bucks, warthogs, lions, kobs, lakes and a variety of birds. Return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, take a two hour boat trip along the famous Kazinga channel for an opportunity to see hippos, buffaloes, kobs, elephants, warthogs etc. Be sure to spot a variety of bird species while on this boat ride. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Kyambura Primate Walk – Return to Kampala / Entebbe

Start off your day with breakfast ready for a guided primate walk along Kyambura Gorge to look for habituated chimps through the gorge. This is one of the rarest experiences in Africa. Later, proceed to Kampala or Entebbe Airport with lunch en route arriving in the evening.
